An Update on our boy Brandon Robins:

Most of you have heard about our good friend and fellow employee Brandon Robins and his serious accident on July 4, 2009. We originally posted about the accident here. We wanted to update you on this incredible story of the miracle that is B-Rob.

After Brandon's accident he recovered faster than anyone could imagine including his doctors that rightly nicknamed him the "miracle kid." Within weeks of being as near to death as you can be, he was out of the ICU. Shortly following that, he was out of the hospital though he had and continues to have many follow-ups.

Today, Brandon is already walking and is even running on his temporary prosthetic. He is actively working with his prosthetist on a snowski leg and a wake leg and has plans to snowski, at least a few turns, this opening day on the mountain.

Brandon's spirits are high, his attitude is positive, and his outlook is nothing short of amazing. "Miracle Kid" is a good fit for B-Rob. From near death to where he is now in just under 4 months...unbelievable. Brandon has plans to return to Bakes in the very near future where you will see him back in action and ready to share his story with anyone willing to listen.

Brandon still could use your ongoing support as he has a long road to recovery ahead. Please keep the prayers and well-wishes coming. Also, as mentioned earlier, you can help with a contribution that will go directly to Brandon's medical bills, prosthetics, and physical therapy needs. Again, please do not feel obligated to contribute...stop by Bakes in a few months and tell B-Rob hello which would be a great encouragement as he continues to make us all say "wow."
